Had a bit of that wonderful thing called free time this morning, so I decided to go back and try a bombless fight against Kanako. And other than on her opening attack, the entire battle went just as planned.
I'd say Kanako's an easier fight overall than Utsuho, but also that her first and last attacks are harder than anything that the SA final boss has. Especially if you know the exploits.
