"My Yiddishe Mama"- one of the most beautiful of all traditional Yiddish songs, played here on my lovely little 1920's mandolin.
It is a pity that the mandolin is not used more in traditional Klemzer music...it can be made to sound almost like the haunting tremolo of the oldtime "Tsimbl"; the hammered dulcimer once played by the Klezmer musicians of Eastern Europe...
Better Than The Other 1 Lets Say That

Music : Heaven Is A Halfpipe - OPM
The hauntingly mournful Yiddish song, "Papirosen"(cigarett es), played on my lovely little vintage 1920's Neopolitian mandolin.
The song is about a boy, selling cigarettes in the rain, who pleads with passers by to buy them so he will not die of the cold like his sister did...
Final part of Shaun's recital - one camera and raw.
1. Only To Be With You (Roachford)
2. She Has No Time (Keane)
'Only To Be With You' was my personal favourite! Don't forget to check out Shaun 'The Piano Man' Pryor in 'Q.A.C.I Dragons; A Journey'.
