The boys had a layover in Chicago on their way to visiting Portland (including the Japanese Garden), Columbia River Gorge, Hood River, Newport, Yachats, and Eugene (Tracktown).
Forgive the shakiness of the video at the beginning and some of the singing in the background. We had great seats (7th row) and Petty was on fire as usual!
We went for a week long bike trip to Colorado with the excuse of seeing the Gold Wing rally at Canon City, CO. There we visited the wonderful Royal Gorge, the place of world's highest suspension bridge!

Rallies in South Ossetia and Abkhazia as the breakaway regions urge Russian recognition of independence.
Both pro-Moscow regions are internationally recognised as part of Georgia but have stepped up their push for independence since Georgia's conflict with Russia.

The state of emergency imposed in South Ossetia since the end of hostilities has been lifted. Life in the republic is gradually returning to normal as thousands of refugees make their way home. Russian emergency teams have almost fully restored public utilities in the region.
